Argus Connectivity Protection and Argus Lifespan Protection suites integrated in Wind River Helix Cockpit, enabling car manufacturers to seamlessly introduce vital cybersecurity protection without impacting their production cycles
Wind River Helix Cockpit, a GENIVI®-aligned, Linux-based platform environment for in-vehicle infotainment and telematics, now includes two Argus protection suites—Argus Connectivity Protection and Argus Lifespan Protection—extending Cockpit's capabilities to include cybersecurity protection without lengthening the timeline or increasing project risk for automakers. With a low footprint and minimal requirements on CPU resources, the solution denies suspicious activity and prevents cyberattacks from penetrating Cockpit, which would be a key step in compromising the in-vehicle network system and critical ECUs.
The Argus Connectivity Protection Suite secures the infotainment and telematics units by hardening the operating system, detecting anomalies, and preventing malware installation. Argus Connectivity Protection works stand-alone or with the ArgusCloud Lifespan Protection suite, which enables automakers and fleet managers with ongoing monitoring in the cloud, situational awareness, and big data analytics to identify emerging patterns and attacks and mitigate their damage through over-the-air updates.
- Secures the most advanced and vulnerable remote attack surfaces in connected vehicles and eases the process of implementing cybersecurity measures for automakers.
- Denies suspicious activity and prevents cyberattacks penetrating Cockpit, a key step before being able to compromise the in-vehicle network system and critical ECUs.
- Argus Connectivity Protection works stand-alone or with the ArgusCloud Lifespan Protection suite, which enables automakers and fleet managers ongoing monitoring in the cloud, situational awareness, and big data analytics to identify emerging patterns and attacks and mitigate their damage through over-the-air updates.
- Provides critical layer in a multi-layered approach to defending against dynamic cyberattacks.
