VxWorks 653 is the world leader in ARINC 653 real-time operating environments, with a proven track record of more than 220 customers across 440 programs in more than 80 civilian and military aircraft, including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the Airbus A400M, and the Northrop Grumman UH-60V Blackhawk avionics upgrade.

VxWorks 653 is the first and only RTOS to be certified conformant to the Future Airborne Capabilities Environment (FACE) Technical Standard, thereby supporting all ARINC 653 and POSIX capabilities required by the FACE Conformance Test Suite.

VxWorks 653 Multi-core Edition helps customers take advantage of the increased computation power of multi-core processors and comes with a RTCA DO-178C and EUROCAE ED-12C safety certification evidence package. The platform allows safe and non-safe applications to share the same hardware platform by enabling the virtualization of unmodified guest operating systems.
